Visit Paradise PokerSummary - Avg. 6.92  Paradise Poker is one of the oldest poker rooms on the Internet. It has attractive graphics and stable software. Paradise starts a new multi-table tournament every few minutes most hours of the day. There is a wide variety of tournaments, and there are some cash games hard to find elsewhere, namely, 5 Card Stud and 5 Card Draw. Competition is stronger here than in most online poker rooms, making Paradise a good place to test your skills against accomplished players. Some tournament structures can put you into big blinds sooner instead of later, but that is not necessarily detrimental inasmuch as many tournament pros assert their best money-making skills in the end game when blinds are high. Paradise Poker has a limited sign-up bonus and seldom has reload bonuses, but it does reward players with Player Club Points that buy tournament entries, and it runs the Paradise Poker Million Dollar Freeroll.
Visit Paradise PokerSoftware - 8  Paradise Poker's software is attractive and stable. The tables do have the usual unnecessary chairs and surrounding room decorations but they are unobtrusive. The cards are dealt to the table slowly, making it easy to read them. Most table options are set from the lobby's menu and applied universally. Only chat options are available for individual tables. The tables provide statistics and note-taking. The lobby is well organized and informative. The listings for cash games include flop percentages, hands per hour, players, and players' stacks to help you pick games.
Competition - 4  Paradise Poker has some of the best players in the multi-table tournaments. Some well known online tournament players have made most of their money in Paradise Poker tournaments. Paradise has a core of loyal players who know each other's play and have a helpful familiarity with the tournament structures and pace. The cash games are tougher than average, with see-the-flop percentages around 30% at full tables, a little higher at night.
Game Variety - 8  Games played on Paradise are Texas Holdem, Omaha Holdem, Omaha HiLow, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud HiLow, 5 Card Stud, 5 Card Draw, Pineapple, and Pineapple HiLow.
Cash Game Traffic - 7  Cash game traffic reaches 2,500 to 3,000 players during peak times.
Tournament Structure - 7  Some tournament structures on Paradise are fast and steep. The blind levels in tournaments with small buy-ins increase every 6 minutes. With middling buy-ins, $10 to $25, the levels increase every 10 minutes. With buy-ins of $30 and up, the levels increase every 15 minutes. If you last a while in sit-&-go tournaments, you will face heavy blinds and all-in situations.
Tournament Traffic - 9  In peak hours, tournament traffic is 9,000 to 12,000 players. Sit-&-go tournaments have moderate wait times.
Rake Amount - 8  The rake is the standard 5%. On limit table of $.50/$1 and $1/$2, the maximum is $1. For higher fixed limits, no limit, and pot limit, the maximum is $1 for 2-3 players, $2 for 4-5 players, and $3 for 6 players or more. Sit-&-go fees are 20% on $5 tournaments and 10% on other buy-ins under $100. The percentages go down for $100 sit-&-go tournaments and higher. Multi-table tournament fees are 9% of the buy-in.
Sign-up Bonus - 6  Paradise Poker's sign-up bonus is moderate, 25% up to $50 maximum. Use the code "FIRST25" on your first deposit.
Player Bonuses - 5  Paradise Poker now has the Paradise Players Club, which awards points for play in cash games and tournaments. You can use the points to enter tournaments and satellites.
Promotions - 7  Paradise Poker offers World Series of Poker packages through Players Club leaderboards, Players Club 1000-points tournaments, and other qualifiers. Paradise runs qualifiers to the British Poker Open, the Conquest of Paradise, and other live tournaments. By playing cash games and tournaments, players can accumulate "Million Points" that buy entries into qualifiers for the Paradise Poker Million Dollar Freeroll.
Support - 7  Support is by email only but the response is usually very fast.
Cash In/Out - 7  Deposit via Visa, Mastercard, Firepay, Neteller, Switch, and Maestro. Paradise no longer accepts bank drafts but you can deposit from your bank to Neteller or Firepay and then transfer funds to Paradise.
